Belle is a young, dynamic performer and singer who moves seamlessly through many genres creating a style which is all her own. From early violin lessons to listening to her father’s djembe playing, life has always been infused and entwined with music. Her voice has the depth and power of old soul singers like Ann Peebles infused with modern nuances akin to Liz Fraser of Massive Attack fame.
Hailing originally from the north, she arrived in London and successfully ran a club night called Numbers (previous guests included Eric Lau, Om Unit, amongst many others). Belle is currently working on an album with Quest, Silkie and Jet Letts. She is also currently working on new material with Eliphino Shaunise (Brownswood Bubblers/Tokimonsta), Bahwee (Teebs/Flying Lotus), and K15.
Her track “Delicious Delicacies” produced by Om Unit was chosen as part of a compilation for Cold Busted records in America and she was recently featured by Tom Robinson on 6 music and in Sabotage Times as "One to Watch".
Her latest release is a staggering 23-track compilation she curated in collaboration with Amnesty International and JuslikeMusic featuring creations from;Ursula Rucker (The Roots / 4hero), Shuanise (TOKiMONSTA / fLako), Heidi Vogel (Cinematic Orchestra / Mark de Clive-Lowe), Vula (Basement Jaxx / Ty / Cee-Lo Green), Ahu (Flying Lotus), Yarah Bravo (One Self / kidkanevil), Stac (Wah Wah 45s / Nu:Tone), Tanya Auclair (YULT), Sarina Leah (Ty / Eric Lau) and Elodie Rama (Natural Self / Hocus Pocus).
She has performed at festivals and venues across the UK and Europe including the Royal Court Theatre Bar, Jazz Cafe, Walthamstow Festival, Proud Galleries, Rhythm Factory,333,Hoxton Square, Rich Mix and played in Berlin and Seville. Untold Songs Vol 1 is now starting a Europe wide tour covering London, Bristol, Leeds, Lisbon, Paris and Berlin.
